summer

So glad to find out that my summer is going exactly as I had planned.  yeah.  wouldn't that be nice.
My original plan for the summer was to:

A) volunteer for some of the week (5-8 hours) because I should and because it looks good for college.
B) marching band.  that will eat up a lot of my summer, mostly evenings for a while.
C) I am considering applying for a job at borders or just somewhere other than pizza hut.  people just don't want hot food during the summer.
D) finish several video games.

That was the original (rough) plan for my summer.  what will actually happen is all of those, plus a college course.  I am taking a materials science course at stark state on wed. and fri.  from 9 A.M. to noon.  The reason I am taking the course is so that I will have transcripted credit from the engineering courses I am taking. @ Timken. long story.
Ooh!  and I can't forget that I now have my drivers license, which means that I am going to be the one driving my siblings to and from most activities.  Joy.

yeah.  I was promised a week of relaxation before all this started.  Something tells me that i'll be waiting on that for  a while...

I have decided that the SAT is not the scholastic achievement test.  It is, in reality, the Sociopathic/apathetic transmuter.  no matter what feelings you had going into the test, you will come out of the 4.5 hours of the test either uncaring about the rest of the (day/week/year) or you will want to be cruel to everyone you meet for the next few days.  I think I'd fall into category one, but it really doesn't matter.  need sleep...

I swear, If one more thing pops up before the end of school, I'll *grumble grumble*...

Don't mind him.  He's the result of a lot of stress.  most of it comes from various finals, and some of it comes from not getting enough sleep.  none of it comes from Greg, who is likely to pass math now.  we spent the weekend in Maryland, visiting my great-aunt.  it was cool, except we had arrived home @ midnight.  on the bright (read: less dim) side, all of my projects are due sequentially, not all at once.  not much help, but hey.  I'll take what I can get.

meh.  more updates soon, after school lets out.  I need to find out how to buy more time on eBay...

the aftermath

wow.  Blue man group was awesome.  that sentence does not give them the credit they deserve... FREE BIRD!
the rest of the trip alternated between fairly cool and hungry (I am poor)

I'm officially in NHS now.  is it just me, or was it almost all band members who did not attend?

And I have secured bragging rights;  the first time I have done any maneuverability practice in a year, I do it in our suburban (read: tank) and get it right on the first try.  and the second. and the third. and the fourth.  then I backed the truck (still read: tank) up our driveway.  *bragging rights get!*
